Terms of service
The terms under which DataHelm is provided, and what each side commits to.
This document has not been written yet.
It is a placeholder, not a policy — please do not rely on it. We are onboarding design partners and will publish the real text before any wider launch. If you need our current data-handling terms in the meantime, email hello@datahelm.io and we will send them to you directly.
What we can already tell you is on the security page: a read-only agent, customer names hashed before they leave your network, per-business isolation, an audit log of account and business changes, and your data exportable at any time.
Data Network (current practice, not legal terms): participation is opt-in and off by default — a business takes part only when its own owner switches it on. If a business opts in, only aggregate figures ever leave the platform, and only through a delivery control that is closed by default — de-identified, not anonymous, with no personal data and no raw transaction rows, and nothing published unless at least 5 distinct businesses are combined into the same figure. Your business's own premises location is used to place it in a regional aggregate; no customer location is ever collected. Any business owner can opt in or out at any time from the Data use page in the dashboard settings, and opting out takes effect on everything computed afterward — though an aggregate already delivered to a buyer before an opt-out cannot be recalled. This paragraph describes what the product does today; it is not the policy itself, which remains a placeholder above.
